SparCQS currently operates through three regional footprints in Arizona, California, and Colorado. Each serves as a local base for building partnerships, engaging schools and communities, and extending SparCQS programming throughout the surrounding region. Together, they form a growing network that combines strong local connections with a broader regional reach.

SparCQS @ FourCorners

SparCQS@FourCorners grew from the original Flagstaff-based program where SparCQS began in 2022. Based at Northern Arizona University, it serves Northern Arizona and the broader Four Corners region, with particularly strong engagement in the Navajo Nation and surrounding communities. As the longest-established SparCQS regional footprint, it reflects relationships and partnerships built over several years of sustained engagement across the region.

SparCQS @ SoCal

SparCQS@SoCal is based at Pasadena City College and operates in partnership with the Micro Nano Technology Education Center (MNT-EC) as part of NSF ¡MIRA!-PREM. The regional effort is led by Jared Ashcroft, Center Director of MNT-EC and faculty at Pasadena City College. Through this partnership, SparCQS@SoCal connects with Southern California’s community college and micro- and nanotechnology education communities, creating opportunities to engage students and communities across the region.

SparCQS @ theRockies

SparCQS@TheRockies is based at the Quantum Commons in Colorado and operates in partnership with Elevate Quantum. This newest expansion connects SparCQS directly with a growing ecosystem of quantum companies, research institutions, workforce initiatives, and shared quantum infrastructure, creating new opportunities for engagement across Colorado and the broader Mountain West.

While each regional footprint reflects its local partnerships and communities, all are connected through the broader SparCQS initiative, sharing resources, programming, and a common goal of expanding access to quantum science and technology.
